BOLOGNESE SAUCE

BOLOGNESE  SAUCE:  

On the table in 45 min
                                                            
INGREDIENTS:

1  tbsp  olive oil
1  large (200g) onion, chopped
3  cloves garlic, crushed
3  bacon rashers, chopped
200  g button mushrooms, sliced
1  kg  minced beef
400  g  can tomatoes
3/4  cup ( 180g) tomato paste
1/2  cup (125ml) dry red wine
1  beef stock cube


METHOD:
  • Combine oil, onion, garlic and bacon in large microwave-safe bowl; cook, covered, on HIGH (100%) 6 minutes, stirring once during cooking. Stir in mushrooms; cook, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) 4 minutes. Add beef,stir well; cook, covered, on HIGH (100%) 10 minutes, stirring twice during cooking.
  • Add undrained crushed tomatoes, paste, wine and crumbled stock cube; cook, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) about 20 minutes or until sauce thickens, stirring twice during cooking.
