SANG CHOY BOW

SANG  CHOY  BOW: 

On the table in 40 min
                                                               
INGREDIENTS:

20  (500g) medium uncooked prawns
1  tsp sesame oil
1  medium (150g) onion, chopped finely
3  cloves  garlic, crushed
1  tbsp  grated fresh ginger
1  medium(120g) carrot, chopped  finely
2  sticks celery, chopped finely
750  g  minced beef
2  tsp sambal  oelek
2  tsp  black bean sauce
1  tbsp  soy sauce
2  tbsp oyster sauce
2  tsp cornflour
2  tbsp  chopped fresh coriander leaves
8  lettuce leaves

METHOD:
  • Shell  and devein prawns; process prawns until almost smooth.
  • Combine oil, onion, garlic, ginger, carrot and celery in large microwave-safe bowl; cook, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) 2 minutes, stirring once during cooking.
  • Stir in beef and sambal oelek; cook, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) 8 minutes, stirring once during cooking.
  • Stir in prawns, cook, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) 5 minutes. Stir in blended sauce and cornflour; cook, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) about 5 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens slightly, stirring twice during cooking.
  • Stir in coriander; serve in lettuce leaves.
